Wu Feng

Wu Feng is a Professor of Computer Science at Virginia Tech (VT), where he directs the Synergy Lab, the Synergistic Environments for Experimental Computing (SEEC) Center, and the NSF Center for Space, High-performance, and Resilient Computing (SHREC). His research interests sit at the synergistic intersection of parallel and distributed architecture, systems software, middleware, tools, algorithms, and applications, particularly with respect to biocomputing, health, and scientific computing. A few highlights of his work include the world’s arguably first green supercomputer in Green Destiny, The Green Computing Book, a worldwide Microsoft Cloud commercial based on his high-performance biocomputing, and an SC22 Test-of-Time Award for “A Power-Aware Run-Time System for High-Performance Computing.” Dr. Feng holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and M.S. and B.S. in Computer Engineering & Music (Honors) from Penn State University.
